About the Author

David Shapiro teaches with PLATO-The Philosophy Learning and Teaching Organization-a nationwide non-profit that brings philosophy and philosophers into the lives of K-12 students. His scholarly interests include applied ethics, philosophy of human rights, and philosophy with children. Shapiro holds a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the University of Washington.
